This year begins my twelfth year of teaching and fourth year at Oak Grove High School! I completed my undergraduate degree in Middle Childhood Education with an emphasis on English and History at Ohio University in 2007. I have previously taught English and American History at Oak Grove Middle School, and I am excited to move up to the high school.

I absolutely love teaching my students, and I especially love teaching students to read deeply, to think critically, and to write logically and creatively. It is a pleasure to watch students make connections and form opinions. I look forward to meeting all of my students, and I know we will have an amazing year together!

I have been married to my husband, Brian for 10 years, and we have a four year old boy, Bauer! We also have two labs, Maggie and Moose, and they love their baby brother. When I am not teaching, you may find me spending time with family and friends, traveling, walking my dogs, and going to Southern Miss games...SMTTT!
