  • Oak Grove High School, as part of the Lamar County School District in Mississippi, uses a 10-point grading scale for student assignments and courses.

The letter grade ranges are generally structured as follows:

    • A: 90–100 (Superior performance)

    • B: 80–89 (Above-average performance)

    • C: 70–79 (Average performance)

    • D: 60–69 (Below-average performance)

    • F: 0–59 (Unsatisfactory performance)

Additionally, students' transcripts are impacted by the Grade Point Average (GPA) calculation, where high-level courses like Dual Credit or Advanced Placement (AP) typically receive additional quality points to reflect their increased academic rigor. Students must meet specific GPA and course requirements, along with passing a required number of subjects, to maintain eligibility for extracurricular activities and graduation.

A: Click Here to view the MS Scholar Requirements.

Q: What are the requirements for me to graduate?
A: Click Here to view the Graduation Requirements.

Q: How do I get a transcript?
A: Click Here to Request a Transcript Online (Note: You must request a transcript online for any and all purposes.)

Q: What is the difference between AP (Advanced Placement) and DC (Dual Credit)?
A: AP are college-level advanced placement courses.  Students in AP courses can pay, at the end of the course, to take the AP exam.  A score of 3 or better on the AP exam can be used at some colleges in place of a college course.  Note that not all colleges accept AP test scores in place of a college class.  Check with the college you are planning to attend for specific requirements.

DC are college-level courses that count as a high school credit and a college course.  These courses require a fee.  Most colleges will accept these courses, but you should always check with the college you are planning to attend for specific requirements.
