Enhancing Campus Security-Important Update

Students will enter through their designated student entrance. If their backpack contains items with metal—such as a Chromebook, a large three-ring binder, or a metal water bottle—they will simply remove those items and place them on a nearby table.

Next, students will walk through the center of the detection path with their backpack centered on their back. Once through, they will gather their items from the table and head to class. (Note: Students who do not have these metal items in their bags can bypass the prep table entirely and walk straight through the scanner.)

If the sensor system detects metal as a student walks through, they will be escorted to a designated area by a staff member. To ensure the safety of our campus, the student will then undergo a secondary safety check.

Supervising staff members will be stationed at the entrances each morning to greet students, guide them through the steps, and ensure the line moves smoothly.
